Stephen Davis
Stephen Davis is a painter based on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, known for his evocative oil and acrylic maritime scenes. A self-described neo-representationalist, he explores the tension between abstraction and representation – capturing likeness through gestural brushwork while pushing the boundaries of form.
Davis began painting as a child, driven by a deep need for personal expression and a connection to the natural world. As one of the few surf artists focused on the Pacific Northwest, he uses dynamic strokes to convey the raw energy of its waves, landscapes, and working coastlines.
His paintings frequently explore the expression of the soul and the idea of cosmic consciousness, inviting viewers into a deeper dialogue with memory, spirit, and place. Through his art, Davis seeks to share the joy and magic of Earth's beauty, encouraging reflection and connection.
